One-pot meal
You start by placing shredded cabbage, kalua pork, and drippings or broth in a pot to cook. Once you reach the desired doneness for the cabbage (some people like it very soft, others like it with a bit of crunch) then finish with some sesame oil and scallions. That’s it.

To serve
Kalua pork and cabbage is best served with a side of white rice. That’s it. Simple.

Ingredients
1 medium-size green cabbage (about 3 pounds)
2 cups kalua pork
2 cups kalua pork drippings or chicken broth
2 teaspoons sesame oil
Sliced green onion for garnish
Instructions
Cut the cabbage in half and remove the core. Cut into medium-wide shreds (about 1-inch wide).
Place the cabbage in a saucepan and top with kalua pork. Add the kalua pork drippings or chicken broth.
Bring to a boil, covered then turn the heat down to medium. Cook for 10-15 minutes until you reach the desired tenderness.
Stir in sesame oil and sprinkle with sliced green onions before serving.
