Fast food doesn’t have to mean frozen burgers and fries. Just like the rest of the country, there are a lot of fast casual restaurants in Boston that serve delicious fresh food in minutes.
Eventide
Eventide Fenway is the Boston outpost of the well-known Portland, Maine restaurant. It’s a great place to grab a bite before a game and to enjoy fresh New England seafood. I’m not a beer drinker but friends tell me they have a good selection of local brews. Eventide is known for its unique take on a lobster roll, serving it in a bao bun.

Saloniki
One of my favorite things about Saloniki is the freshly made pita. Fresh meaning only when you place the order does the pita dough hit the grill. You have your choice of fillings including chicken, pork, lamb, and veggies. And then you have choices of toppings and sauces. Really fast, very delicious.

Rami
Rami’s has the best falafel, hummus, and babaganoush. Whether you get everything wrapped in a pita or served on a plate with salad and pickles, it’s the best.

Anna’s Taqueria
Anna’s is one of the earliest fast casual restaurants that I visited in the Boston area. Big, beautiful burritos filled with grilled beef or chicken, pork carnitas, or grilled vegetables. It’s really good value for a ton of food.
