Warm Black Bean Dip

  • Author: Unknown
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 6 1x

Description

This is an easy dip, perfect for game day snacking.

Ingredients

Units Scale

1 15ounce can black beans, rinsed and well-drained

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 medium onion, minced

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 stalk celery, minced

3/41 cup prepared salsa, or to taste

Juice of 1 lime

Instructions

Purée the black beans in a food processor (you can also mash the beans by hand).

Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the oregano, onion, garlic, and celery until onions are translucent. You aren’t looking to brown the vegetables.

Add the processed beans and salsa to the pan and heat through.

Add the juice of the lime, mix, and serve.

Notes

For a smoother dip, skip processing the beans at the beginning. Wait until the end and process the entire mixture.
